I've never actually counted, but I'm pretty sure I'm running full stock on mine right now. That's 12/41, right?

How noticeable are the sprocket size changes?</end quote></div>

Yeah stock is 12/41. I went to a 39 because I put 20" tires on the back, stock was 22". I thought the 39 would get me back to stock gearing with the 20's. I believe it did, but I still think it has way more low end than what I need. I can still start out in second gear, I do not think that is being very efficient.

SO where I stand is I am not sure what to try for a front, a 13 or a 14?

Well the front ones are pretty cheap so you could try both.

I will probably try the 13, I do not see a 14 readily available. I think I remember Randy saying that the larger sprocket needs a custom case saver, that might have been for only the 15 though, I will have to go back and try to find it.

oh yeah, I saw Tusk has some rear pads for $14 on Rocky, Tusk usually does not put there name on bad products. I would try them if you are ordering anything else from there.

DK has a good selection of sprockets:

Have you tried ordering from DK before? I think you're close enough too so that if you were to order before 7 or 8pm, it'd arrive the next day.

i wanted to put a 14t sprocket on but the casesaver would have to be whittled down pretty far to work. might try it for a ride or two just to see how it feels.
i got a brand new 12t if anyone wants it. say the word, it's yours

Thanks MalHombre, but I believe I'm running stock, so that should be a 12. So I'll pass, but thanks for the offer.

What are you running on yours right now?

Could you post some big pics here on the thread so I can see how your light looks? I'm still undecided on what I want to do for a light or even if I'm going to do something.

So bigger sprockets up front and smaller in back increase top end, and smaller fronts, larger rears add torque. Am I right?

How do you test the rear axle carrier bearings and swing-arm bearings? I don't know how old the ones in mine are. Does there just get to be some slop in the swinger and axle?

I will check them out, but I don't find their website as user friendly so I don't go there much.
