So bigger sprockets up front and smaller in back increase top end, and smaller fronts, larger rears add torque. Am I right?</end quote></div>

Yes.

How do you test the rear axle carrier bearings and swing-arm bearings? I don't know how old the ones in mine are. Does there just get to be some slop in the swinger and axle?</end quote></div>

Yeah, there gets to be some movemnet inbetween the axle and carrier, just jack the quad up and grab the axle and try to move it around. If there is movement make sure where it is coming from, either the carrier or swinger.

I will PM you on the sprocket.

i wanted to put a 14t sprocket on but the casesaver would have to be whittled down pretty far to work. might try it for a ride or two just to see how it feels.

i got a brand new 12t if anyone wants it. say the word, it's yours</end quote></div>

Do you have a part number for the clamp on filter you have on your carb? That is the route I believe I want to go with an Outerwears cover.

i don't have a part#. i used central vacuum tubing and routed it to a plastic box under my seat. cv tubing is really thin and lightweight. o.d. is 2,1/4".
it's a nice, sunny day so i'll try to get some new pics for you guys.
oh, and i'm running 13/39 gears. 1st gear is basically useless.

MalHombre, are you going to change your sprockets to use 1st, or are you fine with it as is?

Man, I think our friend Randy must have rode off one of his mountains down there or something! Haven't heard from him in a while!

Maybe Randy spit shined his machine up so much and it looks so good that he got on it to ride and has not yet stopped I hope he is not knee deep in the center of his pond.

Where you at Randy?

I remember him saying he was going to post up a freshened gallery when we least expect it, so maybe he's just preparing to come back with the world's greatest gallery or something! lol But yeah, hopefully he's not stuck in his pond!
