He was right, but I wouldn't/won't change a thing! What you do is what you are. and I yam what I yam!

Sorry to hear about your bad luck PG. Good thing you had the better lights on the 400 or it might have been worse?
Better lights? what is up with our LED experiment? Had LED's when I hit bambi on the 400....................

I have been disowned by most of my family in Dayton due to my football passion.....

DON'T DRILL AND TAP YET!! I have the mfg's on this for me. Looks like we will be able to put a "sandwich" adapter between the oil filter cover and the filter with built in check valves and all........... will keep ya all updated..........

Turns out your last pic was correct! Forgive me for doubting you please! permacool says to do exactly as you illustrated. except for the check valve. they say to jb weld a ball bearing between the 2 holes OR drill a 3rd hole between the 2 holes with a bolt. I think a bolt would be a better way. what do ya all think?

the check valve im talking about would be in hose that feeds the cooler to prevent draining of the cooler when parked ...And no offence taken by me!!!! i wouldnt want to tell u something i wouldnt do to my own bike and being that i did my motor personally, and stared at it in pieces for months and months and all cause i was being lazy!!! I actually assembled motor in ten degree weather in a garage with no heat!!!!But while cleaning for assembly i was checkin out all this oil passage stuff and found a bunch of sand flash in my oil journal in the cases....Polished it all up and when i fired it oil shot out past front of bike so???????My studies have paid off so far,but i smoke on startup ???? everything new must be from too much oil now....oh well

But on a side note anyone break 4 lower ball joints in 5 months on thier 230??????2 suzuki and 2 jap i just switched frames and said screw it but want to figure out so i can have two bikes!!!!!

I ain't gonna lie folks, but I am getting tired of typing about riding these machines!!! Unless you have a TON of patience, DO NOT GET INTO THE GAME OF MODIFYING THESE MACHINES TO THE EXTREME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gosh, I remember the days of hopping on my one kick wonder and riding every damn weekend!!! I THINK it will all be worth it when I am done, but, when the hell will I BE DONE!!???

Thanks for listening to me whine! Pain pills gotta go!! the 400ex is just not a good enough fling! I need my lil light weight girl, that makes the bigger cc people sing her praises!! Electronics are cool, but we are fly by wire kinda folks! Old skool rulz!
