Now all I have to do is make an endpiece to bolt on and some wire mesh to make a spark arrestor.
if you can measure the size of the muffler you can buy a spark arrestor screen from denniskirk.com and an end cap. all you need is self-tapping screws and i am sure you can figure it out from there.

Yeah I was reading about spark arrestors and didn't realize that it has to be USFS Approved...so I'm thinking a homemade one isn't gonna cut it.

Has anyone made or found a spark arrestor to work with the rcm muffler for the 230's? We're already planning a few trips this summer that will take us onto state land and I don't plan on leaving the 230 behind...unless I can't come up with something that is usfs approved

There are aftermarket universal spark arrestors. Just look around or check with your local dealer. On state land you have to match the state regulations which sometimes are more stern then USFS like here in Washington, but I do not know what the requirements are where you live. USFS is a good guideline and can get you close. I would check with local atv dealers on what is offered or contact where you got your pipe. I made one for my bike following the Washington State regulations.

i finally got some pic's posted...
i was wondering because we have an lt230e and lt230s... is the S alot faster then the E??? i want to fix the S later this year and mod the E right now.

for mods:

i heard dg rcm is a good choice, 2 options full steel or half steel/aluminum
NOISE IS NOT AN ISSUE so i should be fine, (i heard its loud)
which is do you think would be better??? i think full steel because it would look better...
WHAT DO YOU THINK?
Regarding the rcm HOW OFTEN DO YOU REPACK AND WILL IT FIT ON A 1988 LT230E??? ALSO WILL IT FIT ON A 1987 LT230S???
Also HOW IS THE SOUND AND HOW EASY IS CHANGING THE JETTING???

Anyone know if atvman is still updating the vault? Just wondered if he wanted to post a few of my pics on there.
