Default Best pipe for 05 Vinson

I'm looking at adding a pipe to my 05 Vinson. What pipe will I get the most power out of? My buddy says if I add a HMF and jet the Vinson that I'll gain 20%-30% more power. Is this accurate? I really enjoy my Vinny but would love I can feel that I'm not taking advantage of all of the power it has to offer.

I have the HMF pipe, Dynojet kit, and K&N filter on mine. The bike was already pretty strong but now its really strong! From what I've read the 20-30% horsepower increase your buddy stated is accurate and you will be able to feel it. The extra power is awesome. The only downfall is sound. I would suggest getting the quiet core for the pipe. It only takes a couple of minutes to remove/replace the core and it costs an extra $20.

I want to do the same to my Vinson. I bet with these mods you could hang with the stock big bores

iI have an 04 vinson 5 speed . I went with an HMF utility series pipe with the quiet core. I also installed a dynojet stage one kit and a twin air filter. The difference in power was phenomenal! The stock tires wouldn't hardly hold mine and I put a set of mudlite ats on mine last week and wow, it is a 600lb wheelie machine. If anyone doesnt have the mudlites I highly recommend them and with the AT mudlites the ride is still very much like stock. but yes the power increase is very dramatic! Good luck!

I am looking for a set of tires and would like to know how the mudlite ats ride on hard surfaces. Does the ride feel rough or what? Also how do they handle mud?

The mudlite at's are as smooth on hard surface as the stock tires I rode about four miles the other day on a blacktop road and it was very smooth. with the at's the center tread is close together and it helps make a smooth ride the xl's are the rough ones. As for the mud they are awesome!! the only time I put my four wheeler into four wheel drive was on a couple of steep slimy hills. I probably didnt need to but I like to be on the safe side. Check on ebay. I have seen alot of deals for the mudlites for around 200 bucks for a full set and that includes shipping. I picked mine up at a local shop, for 215.

Dynojet recommendations were pretty much right on for me at sea level. It runs a little rich and thats ok. Supersuzuki4 did you also order an after market air filter, the stock filter doesn't let enough air through. I used the dj126 with 2 3/4 turns on the mixture screw for my carb as DJ suggests. Be ready for a new machine!

Yes I did. I havent decided where to keep the lid on or not. What about you? I ordered the K&N and prefilter. I am higher up hear anywhere from 2800 to 4500 ft. With your settings I will be even richer than you. I cant wait for the extra power. I havent told anyone about it and I aint going to.
