I started my 230S in June or July of 2005. I finally finished it and got the pictures on here. Any ideas, improvements are always welcome. Pretty much stock except for after market air filter, exhaust, gearing, and aftermarket tires and wheels. The plastic is on now but I haven't taken any final pix yet. Those will come soon, along with pictures of my other rides.

 

hey thats pretty nice man!! how much did it cost to do all that work?? i am hoping to rebuild my 250 from ground up but i need to save my money to rebuild the engine

 

I think I am @ about $1200 right now. I still want nerf bars and aftermarket bumper and DG grab bar.

 

did you have to do anything to the engine? or buy new stuff for it?

 

yeah the engine was in a 5 gallon bucket. I guess the previous owner started to rebuild it and figured it would be to much work and sold it. The jug and crank were trashed from the previous owner blowing it up. I bought another engine on e-bay and used his jug and some other parts with my bottom end. Had Vince's cycle rebuild my crank and went to building. Had the cylinder honed out and bought a new piston kit.

 

ok well thats not as bad as mine, mine runs but smokes like a chemney so i needa rebuild the top end and adjust everything how much did it cost you to replace all the seals/bushings/bearings and paint the frame?

 

The best place I could find for bearings,bushings,seals, and gasket kits was Vince as for the painting I did that myself.
