rear z suspension

Default rear z suspension

how do i soften my rear suspension for a stock z 400 2004. i read the manual and it says you need a special tool to do it or to take it to the dealer. anyone know how. thanks

Default rear z suspension

There will be a compression adjustment screw you can use to soften it up. Cant remember if its the one towards bottom of shock or higher. Might have to stick your head underneath to get at it but turning it one way a bunch of clicks will make it harder to compress and the other way softer.

Default rear z suspension

It's the screw on top, you turn it left to soften and right to stiffen the ride. The bottom screw is your rebound.
