I have a 86 and 87 230 Quadsport. I am thinking about modifying one of them, (which one)? I want to be able to run with my buddies 2001 "300EX Honda. Can it be done, or should I consider a different Quad.

Any input would be helpful...

Thanks

Modify the 86 because the chain adjustment is a whole lot easier than the 87.It also has a better designed rear end.Mine will beat a stock 2001 300EX.Look at my mods.Use 12/41 gearing(thats stock) and you will have plenty of speed.

I have an 86, bone stock and beat a 97 EX in a drag race. Not to bash honda or anything, this gut isn't the best rider in the world. If you want to beat another quad, just find a worse racer.

Ha, Ha.

I had a 86 230 and now have a 2000 300ex.Its like apples and oranges. The 230 is a great first quad but its not worth all the work. Get a 300ex or something else just not suzuki. They dont make quality machine like honda or yamaha.
