Is the K&N filter as good as the other brands (Uni or Twin Air)?? I still got my original filter and no problems (after 850 miles). I have to say that i don't ride in very dusty conditions... Should i switch to an aftermarket filter, or keep the original and grease it to assure a proper fit??? Thanks for your comments.

I say get a Twin Air or UNI over the K&N, I have had both foam & K&Ns. Some people say dirt gets in and there are pics to back it up. I have not had the problem but switched to a UNI as a preventative measure. It still has not been determined if ALL or SOME of the filters are bad.

Either filter is a good choice. BUT the most important thing is dump your stock filter in the garbage ASAP. My suzuki mechanic told me that he is already seeing some kings coming back for an upper engine rebuild because of this problem.
Whether you drive in dusty conditions or not, you will take in some dirt. Dump that crappy filter system and put in a real one (or get the extended warranty and plan on using it).
