Default Shifting question

I heard from people that on a auto clutch 4wheeler that if u "pop the clutch" it will mess up the transmission. What i mean by that is if you pull up on the shifter rev the engine and let go of the shifter, kinda what happens when u "pop the clutch" on a regular manual quad.
When you do this does it disengage the clutch till you let off the shifter, or does it slam into gear when you let off? Im going to get a manual Eiger and i dont want to mess up the tranny by doing that.
Thanks
