Default 265 deal on an lt250r?

I pulled the motor from my quadracer last weekend, now that its on my garage floor, I need to make up my mind.
Take to Eric Gorr and have him work his magic? Or out to CT for the 265 deal.

Hopefully ill get responses from people who have ridden both.

I just dont want to be dissapointed, i want this thing to tear a** and leave the thumpers behind me.

If Im being unrealistic, so be it, then ill start looking for a zilla instead.

thanks

If you want it to be really fast, find yourself an '87 LT500 motor, Get it refreshed and put it in there... it's a fairly easy swap that will make that light little chassis FLY! You will not need to worry about the thumpers anymore.

I cant remember the name right off hand but i know there is someone who does a 310 or 350 kit for the lt250r. its actually a honda type sleeve i believe and they have to grind part of your engine cases down so the sleave will fit in when you put the cylinder on. This kit does exist i am not making this up,i will find the name of the place. Only drawback is you have to ship your entire engine to them and it costs 700+. But an lt350r with porting and a bigger carb and aftermarket exhaust would be awesome

Hi,
IMO Duneaddict is correct.
No matter how "radical" and how much $$ you put in an LT250 motor dollar for dollar the LT500 swap will out perform and be more reliable.
I've done about a dozen of the "hybrids" and the swap is fairly easy w/minimal fabrication needed.
You can sell your old motor on e-bay to offset the cost.
When done it will look like the LT500 motor came from the factory and will smoke anything but the most extremely built ATV's.
BTW: Tudor's Performance has an LT250 big bore sleeve/piston "kit" if that's what you really want.
