Z400 teardown
#1
Ahh suzuki. How I miss my quadracer. Can't wait to buy a new LT-R.
Anyways... My cousin is tearing down his Z400 this winter to the frame for a fresh powdercoat, completely new suspension, everything. Is there anything he should watch out for, or will definitely want to replace. He is having it gusseted and will be inspecting the frame for cracks. Anything else like bearings, seals, etc. thanks.

When I tore mine down it was quite easy. It was only A few month's old. I diden't have to replace anything. I took pic. for A step to step rebuild. Might helpGood luck.

if you have a digital camera take a lot of pics. it really helps in putting it back together
just make sure when you get the frame back to clean all the holes where bolts and levers go
like swingarm bolt, rear brake lever
if the bolts have locktite on them clean and relocktite because they will come loose
and make sure you clean and well grease the swingarm bolt because it sucks getting it out
