Default open air filter on the z

okay so i went and entered my first ice race on saturday and got first in c class... know this weekend is the last ice races of the year i am going to lower it and giver it hell in the b class cause i think i can compete.... okay hears the question as of now i run with the lid off and a slip on pipe i was wondering if i can ditch the hole airbox and snorkle going to the carb and get a uni that just clamps on to the carb to try to open her up a little more i would also go up a few main jets has anyone done this before.....i no it will not make a huge difference but i figure every thing counts
