Help With An 05' KingQuad

LKGRenegade22,
I put the EPI kit in myself with the wet springs and it is the best bang for the buck mod i have donre to this point. How far are you from Charlotte? When I was looking for a Dyno center I found one just out side of Charlotte. I cannot think of the name of it at the moment. What cities are you close to? What pipe are you going to run?
The stock clutch does an OK job if you are interested in stock. The after market kits will help to remove any slip, improve the shifting , improve the engine breaking, improve rideability, Give you better low end power, and with the EPI kit and the wet springs it will increase the stall speed of the clutch and get the king into its power band much faster. I hope this helps and if there is any thing that RedGoblin or myself missed just let us know and one of us will try to answer, even if we have to make up an answer. Just kidding!
Thanks
David

I am about 3.5-4 hours from Charlotte. I have a 700rwhp corvette so I know where alot of places are with car dynojets but none with an atv dyno. I am assuming that you dont use the same? I live near Roanoke Rapids if you have ever heard of that. Where can I get the clutch kit and how much is it? One of my best friends is an ATV mechanic so I know he can install it with no problems but I need some help finding the right part numbers and all. Please let me know. THANKS!

So you are out in the middle of the state? I lived in Charlotte for about 5 yearsbut i am not very good about other parts of the state.
What size tires are you going to be running? What is the elivation you live and ride at? These are two question that you will need to answer before you order a kit. I got mine from my dealer for $170 for the EPI kit. Some guys are having trouble getting the inner clutch gasket to do the EPI kit. My bike was almost new andI did not need to reoplace the gasket. If you are looking for a big tire kit you can look at the High Lifter site and there kits. they are made by EPI and come with the gasket. They do not offer a stock tire kit, they only offer an oversized and extreme kit. Unless you are into a lot of mudd or run 27-28 inch tires I would suggest the stock tire kit. You get all the gains and only lose about 1-2 mph off the top speed. With the bigger tire kits you will lose more top speed. Private message me if you want the contact info for my dealer.

I have a set of 27" Kenda Executioners on my KQ. The Elevation is right around 200 feet ASL where I live. I live in the northeast portion of NC right off I-95 about 2-3 miles from the VA border.

Could his problem with the King be associated with the ECM or the Cold Weather Mod thats available through the dealer?

If I were abetting man I would bet you need to change your spark plug. It is a cheep try and see fix and it would not hurt to do it anyway.
Thanks
