Yesterday when I tried to take out my machine the right front hub was locked up. I put it in 4- wheel and then it clunked and spun just fine, any ideas?

Sounds like your brakes were stuck....My '01 Recon did the same thing,and it's 2 weeks old.It hasnt done it since.I was in DEEP water the day before,so that could be your case too??Later-

 

This is a common problem with the KQ. Usually happens after the quad has been unused for a few weeks. The front brakes lock and can be a real pain to release. Usually 4wd will pull it out but I've had a few times that it takes dif. lock to turn the locked wheel. Don't know of a good way to prevent this except to move the quad every few days. I know 3 people with KQ's and we all have this problem.

Actually Archer, it sounds like it was pretty damn cold there... Hence, water in the wheel was frozen... Maybe?

it was only about 30 but my garage stays a nice toasty 55 degrees. i have not had the problkem since. hopefully it was a one time deal.

 

Hum! Reminds me... I gotta get some heat for my garage... Don't know what it could have been but I like that heated garage...
