I was woundering how much horse power a stock z400 put out and some and some one with mods.

 

stock is around 28.5hp and when I did my 440 kit with cams and porting I went to 44hp
Ihave a 470 kit installed now and havent dynoed it yet but it will be soon

dirt wheels has a pipe shootout and thay say that stock it's 32 hp you can find the shootout at www.ctracing.com under z400

 

Its around 26-28 on a dyno here in new england I have seen a few of them done and that is what they put out before you add in for correctio(perfect conditions) if you want to make it look better on paper then you account for no humidity and perfect air quality and you will get 30 but I have never seen on a z the hp stats ct claims and my pipe gained 2 hp not the 6 they claim and the jetting was spot on. Hope this helps my dyno with my 440 was where muckys is and with the new motor im running id be interested to see the outcome.

 

I love it . way more power than I was used too. went to the dunes for pres. day before I was having problems climbing steep hills. now with the 470 I was climbing in 4th and sometimes 5th gear. broke the chain buffer while I was there so i'm waiting on a part for my swingarm so I can take it in and have it dynoed
It used a little water the first day and it hasnt doesnt done it since so im checking that out too
