Default z400 blowing blue smoke

the other day my friend and i where cleaning my carb, when we finished we started it it up and noticed that when i revved it and released it{de-acceleration} it blowed a little blue smoke. any ideas on what it can be Valves, rings; Or running to rich? plus i had the delership change the oil when i got it fixed for the corrosion problem, could it be that they used a diff. type of oil or too much. Thanks ahead of time.

On de accelaration its usually the valve seals or seats. on accelaration its usually rings. And blue is oil and white is water burning.

z838mz is correct, it's your seals/seats. I found this past year that while racing my Z400 w/out any sort of baffel I'd go though the seals. Just a common thing. Same thing goes on Harley's when running pipes w/no baffel's, you'll go through head gaskets since there is no back pressure. But it sounds great - with an eventual expense...

I'd have your motor builder look into it before your next racing series because you're loosing some hp.

you should always take care of issues with your machine its part of maintaince on your atv if you put it off you may run into other problems down the road that may cause more damage not nessaraly the case with this but who knows why its doing this you wont know untill its apart and you can properlly diagnose the problem correctly.
