well as you may of read on an ealrier post my 2005 kfx400;s motor is already statrting to take a crap. I know these are dependable engine and everyone is telling be i got a bad one right from the factory and that i should sell it. What do u guys think?

 

iam in the same situation with my z400 , it getting fixed just now, its really anoying but the exact same thing could happen to any quad at any time

 

probably best selling it, if its gonna cost alot to fix all the time

 

i have the warranty but dont really trust the product altogether

 

what's wrong with the bike?

 

dealer said it sucked in coolant {looks like i discovered the corrosion problem a little to late} i just got off the phone with kawi in a Bi%ching match over fixing it under warranty. looks like ill be getting it done for free though. i like the bike but just lost a lot of faith in its dependability

 

What all needs to be replaced? How did it happen?

 

i dont know if you heard of the corrosion problem but the new Z's have a magnesium clutch cover that is corroding so bad that it can leak coolant into the oil. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img] this is what happened to mine and it fryed pretty much the entire engine. im tempted to get it fixed and keep it but think that im leaning towards getting a new one.

 

Tell Kawi that you want a new engine? Maybe it would work.

 

yeah were fighting them right now. i have so much of the quad paid off that if i get a new engine ill problem consider ahniging on to it
