quick question about eiger
ummmm..... so you cant stop the quad..... tehe. I dunno, I guess some people are more comfortable with hand breaks than foot and vice-versa. But you got a good quad with the Eiger, I have an '03 and the thing hasn't given me any problems to date. She'll take anything you'll throw at her.

quick question about eiger
Congratulations on getting an eiger auto. Real nice machine. I've got an 05 auto. Although I only have about 50 miles on it, I couldn't be more pleased. They're great for plowing snow as well. I know lots of folks like the big bore units but honestly the 376cc engine has plenty of power / torque. I've only had mine plowing snow and running in the mountains of western Maryland and 30 miles per hour was about as fast as I wanted to go. Its top speed is supposed to be around 50 and I can only immagine how that must feel. Congratulations again!

quick question about eiger
The brake set up of Right hand = front brake, Left hand = rear brake and Right foot = rear brake is a standard on many quads. Maybe it's a holdover from when bikes had a right hand operated clutch so the only way to operate the rear brake was with the foot. In any event, in some riding situations it's easier to us the hand lever, sometimes the foot. There is only one rear brake, just two ways to operate it.
BTW, some quads - BRP and Polaris, use one brake lever for all brakes.
