Default can you get more power? 04 ozark

Wondering what i can do to a 04 ozark 250 to get a little more power. This is my first quad so i am new to mods on these things. If i re-jet it does that sacrifice power at low end? I know i could put a different mufler on it but that looks kinda expensive. Looking for cheap power. Anybody know if i can raise the top speed any? I have two Ozarks, one will do 49 and the other will go 52 or 53 mph. For some reason my wifes is a little faster. Also at high rpms it feels very buzzy. Is this normal for a 4 stroke 250? Does it harm the engine to run down the trails at full throttle?

You can get a jet kit and a filter and those will help in power without sacrificing low end power. A pipe will REALLY help out the power as will a cam. But those are expensive.

And yes, this quad does feel buzzy at high rpms. If the motor is starting to make some funny noises then you might want to look at getting your valves adjusted. And as long as you don't run it at full throttle for a LONG period of time (like 30 minutes to an hour) then you're ok. Also, after going full throttle for a bit, don't shut it off immediately after. Let it cool down for a minute or so.
