250 head gasket

Default 250 head gasket
i got an 1986 lt 250,im going to replace the head gasket and i noticed the piston is scuffed a little bit.i wonder if it will be ok.the bike was still running and lots of power.it was spitting oil out through the head gasket.any help would be appreciated
