tl 450r handlebars
#1
I am new to the forum so hello everybody. I picked up the 450 a couople of weeks ago and I love it. I bought some handlebars for it that are abour an inch bigger than stock. The brake line is too short for these bars. Does anybody know of an extension or method to remedy this? Thanks, Bob

You will just have to pick up some longer brake lines, or go to a shorter stem or bars. I stretched mine out as far as I could from stock and only raised about 2 inches. Wish Suzuki did better at accomodating the brake lines for aftermarket bars and risers.

I actually gto some flat stock and raised the front metal brake line about 2 inches. It worked awesome but the emergency brake had to go which I wanted to get rid of anyway, and the throttle cable is a little tight but managable.

yep. suzuki doesnt give much slack in their brake lines or cables. you can work the throttle cable a little to get more
but you might have to buy a longer cable or try to reroute the cable to get more. if your worried about brake lines to short buy some that are made for
+2 a-arms. their longer and a better brake line

for throttle i used banshee thumb throttle and yfz cable(yfz carb), the owner of a local repair shop said he uses honda and yamaha throttle's on suz.and kawi's. he said suz and kawi will wear out, plus you can screw in the others.
im running stock handle bars, so i know im not really helping you. just wanted to point that out.
