Unless I'm searching wrong I can't seem to find any good info on this.

I want to add a winch to my 95 king quad 300. I haven't decided between warn or ramsey but I'm sure this doesn't really matter. My question is, where does the winch mount to my atv? Does anyone have any pics of a 95 (or same design/different year) with a winch?

 

so noone knows how a winch is mounted on a 95 king quad? Is it just stuck in front of the front bumper or does it somehow fit inside there? I think it'd kinda suck if it was just bolted to the front, I'd be bashing it into things every other day.

 

Yea, I have a '97 KQ and I put it on the front. Click on my profile to see some pictures. Basically I put a pipe through the hole just above the bumper, (didn't even have to weld it fast), then mounted the winch to that pipe and the bumper with 4 bolts.

If the camera isn't below my name, wait a while and check back, they'll be on after the mod people check 'em.

Here is another guy that inspires me. I'm going to do this when I get more time. He has made receiver hitches for the front and rear for his winch. He gives instructions and pictures on his site. May give you a better idea than what I did. Mine was just slapped together a night before we were supposed to get some major snow.
