what would be the best carb to run on a stock 87 lt500 engine with a trinity stage 4 pipe? i am beginning to rebuid mine finally now that i have some spare cash lying around.

I can only tell you what my plans are. I have a basically stock motor with a trinity pipe. Stock carb. I believe the carb, stock is 34 or 36 mm. I've purchased a 44mm Lectron. Its the next step for my bike before any mill work. My guy says it will make a very noticable difference. Hope this helped....

my ported race motor only has a 42mm bored stock carb

38mm is stock

 

I'm with ya.... there is another Lectron, a little bigger, that would need more work done to the bike to maximize it. With the stock bore, this carb is fine. Do you guys run an air box?

 

to big will have no bottom end. 41 works good ,39 plus trumendus
