I'm done with the King Quad...time to move on...

When I first bought this machine, absolutely nothing felt better. Now, after a year a frustration and a basic "lack of trust" in this machine, I am moving on. It is in the paper today...I am currently looking at either the Bomb 800 or the Polaris 800...either way it will be better than where I am now. The problem was 3 dead batteries this winter...wouldn't start and the shop "didn't find the problem. All of this has given me a sense of distrust of the machine. I like to get "way back in there". I must have dependability.

well, they both look like awesome machines. i checked them out online and they had about the same specifications.
But if it were up to me i'd go with the Polaris. I liked how it had dual exhaust. other than that they both seem like good buys. wish i could help you out

Wow, you should read the list of potential problems in the Bomb and Polaris forums on those respective machines. You're not going to be any better off.
In my opinion.

The 800 outtie is in the 1st yr of production, so its gonna have its flaws. BRP addressed the problems and warrenty work can be done.

My friend has a polaris 800. I guess its ok but its too big and bulky. Its fast but not as fast as i would have though. It also is not the greatest in tight trails when you are going slow because of the belt drive. It has to build rpms which is wierd. Go with an outy JMO

Just my opinion, but I think you are going to jump out of the pot and into the fire.
Sounds like you need to change dealers more than you need to change brands.

I'd take that Polaris down a steep hill before I'd buy one if steep hills are your something you tend to ride on. I took a Polaris down a steep hill and was really disturbed by the performance. The back wheels locked up and skittered down the hill with the rear wanting to swap ends with the front and it was more or less uncontrollable. I thought I had broke the thing but was told it was suppose to act like that!? I'm told you can get use to that but I don't see how. Seemed downright dangerous to me. Rode really nice on flat ground however. Cushy ride.
