Default 400 leaking problem

my kfx 400 is litteraly dripping fuel from somewhere in the carberator. i noticed this a few days ago and made sure i had the boot covers on the bike real tight. it drips fuel almost constantly when it is running. what do you think, should i take the carb off and tighten everything up or have it done by one of my friends who is a mechanic.

Default 400 leaking problem

is the petcock on the PRI or ON postion when it leaks? Does it leak while the motor is off and in the PRI postiion? The ON postion is vacume feed and will only draw fuel as long as the motor is running. The PRI setting bypasses the vacume feed.

I'd pull the carb and check it, check all the fuel/vacume hoses, lines, intake boots, & choke line inlet to start with.
