i ve got an 86 lt250r ....already has a 90 motor in it...but not happy with it...having no luck...thinking of making a project...any one have any ideas of what motor should put in? want to do the whole swap motor starter battery etc......i work in a fab shop so i can get some mounts made...

 

Well i've never seen one with a Raptor 660 motor in it or maybe even the new 700. Souds like a cool project.

 

I saw one with a Honda Nighthawk 750 engine in it. Looked cool. Thinking of doing that myself... Can't beat Honda reliability. And a Nighthawk engine can be found cheap so can parts...

 

was that the one on ebay? few diff colors? He said it couldnt beat a warrior....i gotta be faster then that or i ll keep the crappy runnin 250..( i like the 2 stroke but having no luck with this particular motor..haha)

 

Yeah I think that was it. I'm thinking of looking into some kind of newer 600cc sportbike engine... Maybe a gsxr600,R6 something like that...

 

might as well go all out and put a 1300cc suzuki hayabusa motor in it and be done with it.

 

I would but they are too expensive... Haha...

Put an LT500 in it.........
I've done over a dozen of these swaps.
No big deal and looks like the factory put it there if done right.

thats great if you can find one....but to be honest i m having so many problems with my 2 stroke i think i m gonna have go with a 4 stroke.... been nothing but headaches for me...even tho my friends is awesome...
