Default Need Some Help on Plastic for LT250S

Im currently rebuilding an LT250s. Only thing wrong with the motor was the case was cracked where the chain hit it...So now i have ordered the chain guard, the new case cover and gasket...So the motor should be good to go now after they come in...

The plastic is basically trashed...i was going to order some brand new plastic but i dont have the slightest clue on what would even kinda fit...i was thinking maybe 85-92 lt250r plastic...i seen a post where someone said theyve done it but never seen any pics...i just need some ideas and help...Thanks

You might want to get another opinion to be sure ! Try this if you can't find any 250S plastics. The LT250S and the LT230S are identical. Same frame same engine same everything. The only difference between the 2 is the stroke of the crank rod. The 230S plastics should bolt right on. The only thing I'm not sure about is if the gas tanks are the same or not. If worst comes to worst you can get a 230S tank from e-bay and purchase the 230S plastics. I'm not exactly sure but I think I remember some one else on here trying to bolt up the 250R plastics and it wouldn't work, but don't quote me on that. Good luck let us know how it goes.

LT230S plastic here

lt250r plastics will not fit on a lt250s they are about 2 inches too long and won't bolt up, but lt230s plastics bold up to the frame but you gotta change the gas tank, and the seat. But i would stay with lt250s plastics because they are so much more comfortable, you can buy lt250s plastics from suzuki. They are expensive but they are worth buying. Also i got my lt250s the same way you did with the end cased busted to crap and there was water in my engine from out side and now i need new rings, make sure you clean the engine before putting everything back together i bet that dirt/water got in so make sure to flush it good with oil.
