Z400 Ticking Noise

Default Z400 Ticking Noise
My motor on my Z is making a low sounding ticking noise. It has done this since last year already and i wanna get this fixed. would this be the valves needing adjusting. could use some suggestions?

It is prabably your cam chain. The same thing happend to me.

Have you ever replaced the timing/cam chain? If your bikes an 03 and its still running the factory one then thats the problem. It could be the valves need adjusting but its much more likely to be the chain.

if you replace the chain replace the guides too, they wear on the side the tensioner pushes on and adjust the valves while its apart
