have any of you raced or seen these two race? if so who won. i know the trx is a little bigger, but i wanted to know if the z400 could keep up or win in a short distance race

 

no it will not win in a drag race nor short distance, 450r will take it off the line and keep pulling away. thats not saying z400's are really slow, im just saying the 450's really fly

Its true. But I have yet to ride a 450R. I still love my Z.

 

the 450 will beat the Z in a race everytime, unless the Z is heavily modded. My friend has a Z with a full pipe and jetted, and i still beat it. the Z does have a more comfortable seat tho.

 

Ok, but if the rider sucks on the 450 and the other rider has a clue then the results would probably be different. Which is kinda beside the point really. But yes, it does take a lot of work to make a Z as fast as the new 450. And I also agree about the seat. I happen to also have an aftermarket ceet gripper seat and its very comfortable. I would have to say the Z is more of a trail bike while the new 450's are dang fast but not as comfortable and no reverse.

 

okay but what about the 2006 450 quadracer vs. the new trx450.

 

the TRX450R will take the LTR450 in a drag race too. I've read that in stock form the LTR is very weak, and that the TRX will outrun it. but if you go on the race track im sure the LTR would put down fast lap times.

 

from what ive been hearing the ltr spanks the trxs

 

maybe with the pea shooter and airbox lid removed along with the addition of the cherry bomb, then it would prolly take the TRX
