z400 all the way, scramblers are crap

 

A Z400 would smoke that polaris[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img]

 

What are we talking about here? In a straight line 100 yd dash I witnessed a 400 Scrambler beat a 400 ex ( both machines were probably 2000-2002 ) by about 3 quad lengths time and time again. So I doubt a Z-400 would "smoke" a 400 Scrammy in a straight line. Everywhere else the Z would be superior.

 

Was that Scrambler modded. I had a 300ex with small mods and it would outrun my cousins scrambler 400. And a z400 is a good bit quiker than a 400ex, which stock was only a bit faster than my 300ex on top end.

 

Haha, some dude up the road from me has a scramby 400 and i raced him on my z400 cause in front of his friends he tried to tell me that the 400 2 stroke had it all the way compared to my p.o.s 4 stroke. Well DOHC bucket shim beat the living **** out of his out of date camless pile. It was no comparison. The z400 dominated it by god knows how many lengths, and a 400ex will beat it pretty easy and the z400 beat a fully piped 400ex by 10 lengths without hesitation. SCRAMBLERS ARE PRETTY MUCH....ES MOY POOPAY

 

Alright man a z400 is beating a 400ex piped, by 10 quad lengths, and scramblers are hunks of **** huh? alright that was a really helpful post to the person who started this thread
I like the z400 better, the scrambler isn't advanced and doesn't have all the goodies lol

 

Stock vs stock, the z is gonna win. Scramblers are just too detuned from the factory.

My buddy has a pretty impressive scrambler 400 and we drag race a lot. He's got HPD drag pipe, porting, clutch kit, 39pwk. He also shaved off 1/3 of the weight from the body and frame. It's pretty fast! I have a 04 z400 with a full yoshi ti exhaust system and alba intake (k&n). When we race its really close........to about 300 ft. most of the time he's got the lead (unless i get a great start) but soon after that I pass him because he just dosen't have the top speed i do. stock vs stock the z400 will win most of the time......a lot depends on the driver.

 

I stated if the Scrambler was modded from Mojave's post. Reason being, I have a cousin with a Honda 450r thats got an aquantance with a guy that has a modded 400 Scrambler, and that scrambler is pretty dang quik. My cus can still out run him but the scramby isnt far behind in short drags, maybe a quad lenth or so. So they can be made quik with the right mods, but stock for stock , no comparison..
