Tomorrow i have to replace my oil strainer cap because it had a crack in it that was about 1.5 cm long, leaked bad. This was either because i've been without a skid plate, or because I wasn't careful enough working with it on the table. Anyways, i'm putting the new cap on tomorrow and i'm putting new oil in. Would it help to clean the oil filter or strainer while its off? or should it be fine the way it is.
