I was just out in St. Anthony Idaho. I just met a guy out there who had a 400 along with his buddy. His friend but in an Edelbrock carb and he apparently smoked him..... he in turn went to a YFZ450 to be competitive against him. I just purchased the carb and installed it, but because I may have a bad valve or ring, I still don't have mine running to test the perfomance. If mine requires a piston/rings I will most likely add the 440 kit to mine. I currently run a Yosi RS-3 complete pipe and a rev box. I'm really hoping that the new carb, which eliminates the need to jetting (rather then tuning the carb) will be a help.

I agree with sandgod on getting what you pay for sometimes. I didn't. (IMO) My first kit was from ct and although it ran better The head was only just sanded and it came back with stock springs. I think if you install a after market cam you should install better then stock springs. My head now was done by a guy I have used for years on all my drag bikes and what a differance. Do your home work before you do anything.

Buddah owned the 700r for about 6 months.. He now has the Yoshi 450z and LTR450... Our Athena will beat a 700 Raptor as well as the LTR.. We raced many times and Mr. Athena has never lost.. It's all in the combination of good parts and a guy who can port... Can a Raptor be made faster??? Absolutley!!! Can the LTR be made faster, yup, but for right now the Athena handles the LTR pretty easily..
