one of my buddies has a z400 and he will start it up n it will run fine then it will blow a fuse n go completley dead and we cant seem to trace where its coming from anybody ever had this problem or heard of a fix

 

one of the wires is shorting out , start it and move the wires around it will die , ohm test each wire is the best,or look for a burn mark on the harness, a ground wire broke will do it to

 

Look at all the wires CAREFULLY, i had a electrical problem that drove me nuts and i thought i looked over all the wiring, but i missed a worn through wire that was grounding out. it was probley from a tie-down hook that pinched the wires. Good luck
