Default LTR450 QUESTION - CHERRY BOMB VS EFI CONTROLLER

Can someone tell me if both of these are needed or just the EFI controller itself? Why would you need both?

Default LTR450 QUESTION - CHERRY BOMB VS EFI CONTROLLER

The cherry bomb is meant to change the map to adjust for an aftermarket pipe, lid off. The PIM will adjust even more, for a pipe, lid off (or no box all together), an aftermarket intake and such. The controller itself will let you adjust(fine tune) the air/fuel mixture throughout the whole rpm range. I know I am not being very specific, but I hope this helps.
Here is mine.

Thanks Raptorowner. Trinity seems to have the best one right now. Also, Pro design. You can get them strait from the companies themselves.

the FI dynatek lets you use their curves (comes with 3 one for stock, one for exhaust, and one for exhaust and intake) and the 4th curve lets you make a custom map. All curves are adjustable with the low, mid, high potentiameters.

if you are considering one they are great. i bought two and if you need one i have an extra

Thanks Dabeechman,

I had all ready purchased the Dynatek. The only thing I had a problem with it was that the rev plug woudnt plug into the harness, so I used the cherry bomb. I sent the plug back to Dynatek, hopefully they can see why it wouldnt work.

Dyna called me, they said that this is the first they have seen. It was made wrong from the factory and that the plastic middle piece was pushed thru farther than normal and was glued in that position from factory. They dont have one to send me at the moment. But hopefully soon. I am using the cherry bomb for now.
