lt500r original shocks?
i am getting all my factory engine parts for midwestactioncycle.com. they have everything, unless its discontinued. my local dealer prices were way to high, but they could still get all the parts within 5 days of me placing an order. i think you need to get a new parts guy!
if i spent 900 on a set of front shocks they would be a nice set of aftermarkets.

Yep, all 3 are Showa. First quad to have rebuildable front shocks, even though nobody seems to know that anymore. In fact, I think I've read in magazines over the last few years about some of the newer quads having rebuildable stock front shocks for the first time ever. Just gotta laugh when I see that.
I spoke with DR Q once about using lt500 shocks on a 250/500 hybrid. He has done this in the past - revalved and even had remote resevoirs added. I think he told me the cost/time wasn't worth it in his opinion. He said to use stock YFZ boingers, but he was also talking about a hybrid, not a 500 chassis. I'm sure he'd have recommendations on that too though. However, it's still good to know you can have the stock 500 shocks built. IMO, they're pretty high quality shocks even though they were stock way back in '87.
