how often should you change your your oil for my vinson i did it twice a year ut do sport quads need more

hey i use to have a venson 500 2005 but i changed the oil ever 600 to 700 miles or if you dont but that many on change about ever 6 months just so the oil dotn sit in it thanks

I believe than manual on my eiger says after the first 100 miles and then every 600 miles or three months, not sure I the time frame, I hit 600 miles every 2 to 3 months any ways.

I run Amsoil in my Eiger and change it every winter to some fresh oil. The only reason you can't run a synthetic in a car motor for more the 35,000 between changes is because it will thicken up. I change it in the Eiger once a year to get all the junk assocated with the trans and clutch out of there [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

no i mean right now i change it in my vinson every six months. what i want to know is with a z400 do you have to change it more than every 6 months

I service mine after every 3rd ride. it might be over kill but i've never had a problem with it
the service manual says after the 1st month and then every 6 months. to me thats to long between oil changes
