Default Best way to get engine clean???

Yeah so i started to actually clean my z and now even after a powerwash it has this film of dirt on the frame and engine that looks horrible. What is the best way to get rid of this so i wont have to pull out the engine just to get it clean? Degreaser?? And if so what is the secret?

Auto zone = Purple Power spray. Cycle shop = Cycle wash spray on.

I would stay away from full strength engine degreaser.

I use engine degreaser on the whole bike before I clean it and 95% of the dirt seems to come off for me
and then I wipe the bike down and polish it with a polish/cleaner for plastic
and engine brite works great too
