I recently bought a 96 - 300 king quad for my grandson, as i was checking it out i noticed the ignition would cut out
sometimes when you first started up, i also found that turning on the lights made it run ok so i figured the voltage was to high. After checking it with a meter it runs 17.5 volts! I dont want to haul the quad back 78 miles where i got it from if i can fix the problem here, so can anyone email, fax me or tell me if theirs a website where i can find the wiring diagram for the (Voltage regulator) ?

 

Your best bet is to fit a new regulator. It is located in front of the handlebars below the fender.
