Default worth it????

is an 87 quadracer 250 with all this worth $2800??
The bike was taken down to a bare frame and rebuilt with all new bushings and all new stainless hardware. The motor was completely torn down and rebuilt by a race shop and the Head was hand ported for mid range acceleration. The Manifold is a cool head design. \ The rear shock is the only other thing on the bike other that the frame that is original -although the frame is powder coated to never rust the rear shock was sent out and rebuilt also by a race shop. The front a-arms are custom built chrome Plus 1 / Plus 2. Plus 5 rear Excalibur racing axle. the rims and tires on it are red line bead locks with mid aggressive tires (about $900.00 for the set up) the brake line on the bike are steel braded and dipped in a coating - the steering stem is a lonestar racing shaft. The bars are Tag motocross. It has a racing disconnect. The exhaust is a Paul turner triple chrome midrange with a fat boy silencer on it. The front shocks are oling zero preload racing shocks ($1500.00). The Plastic is a Modified race design - New and the Rear grab bar was replaces with an aluminum one - the nerf bars are Gradon Racing aluminum. And other frame accessory (like the foot pegs etc...) was sandblasted and Powder coated in Black.

could it beat a blaster, a 400 ex (piped and jetted), and a predator ( piped/jetted)

how much of a difference is there between an LT250 and a 250r ar far as ridin around w/ friends and stuff, not really racing unlees its drag

First off in my opinion, any price over $1500-2000 for any old 2-smoke quad anymore is too much. I just got rid of my LT250R for a Z400. I personally don't care how much is sunk into these old quads you'll NEVER get your money back out of them.

2nd it would kill any of those quads you mentioned, however keep in mind that the '87s were a Bast*rd year. The 85-86 were the same & 88-92 were the same. 1987's were a different machine, so finding parts is much harder.

3rd compared to the Honda "R" the LT would be just as fast but not handle quite as well.

4th it's your coin man, but consider these quads sold new for less than $2800 & it's 20 yrs. old

$2800 is a good deal.
The old 2 stroke quads are comming back as far as worth goes..getting rare.

2 smokes?? Your just mad cuz::1) you got a slow stroke 2) your Z400 is like a TRX400,,A glorified yard machine since the 450's came out. I don't insult or argue with feeble minded individuals over the 'net, because argueing on the 'net is like the special olympics, you may call yourself the smart winner, but your still a retard (LT80)

Now, to answer 6490's question, the 1987 was considered the fastest engine yes, because of it's radical port design, power valve technology & reed cage assembly. However, I think Suzuki realized the relaibility issues & tamed them down some for the balance of their production, thus making the 1987 model an orphan child.

#1:: I put a j/k in there. That means a joke. The 2smoke vs. the slow strokes is a common joke between friends and foes.
#2:: I just donated 50% of my services to a special olympics fund raiser. You can call these "atheletes" anything you want. They were kind and courtious to me. And yes, they are atheletes with as much drive and dedication equall to that of any athelete that is not challenged.
I wonder what a retard would call you.

"judge yet thee be judged"

I hope that's nuff said.
