You must already know this, But did you start the bleeding from the furthest wheel from the cylinder, and work back to the closest to the cylinder? Air will get traped inbetween if you don't. Causeing exactly what your discribing.

Sounds to me like youve got a stuck slider pin.

Does the caliper slide freely side to side on the mounting bracket? can the caliper be separated from the mounting piece? If the slider pin is rusted , and the caliper cant move freely to float to center...youll get your symptoms.

I sent a PM

heres a silly ? but do you have the pads placed right in the caliperbecause if not that could be why it isn't working correctly...I am not trying to insult your intelligence btu I just want to make sure that you bleed the brakes right by pumping the lever and holding it and then opening the valve to release the air then clos eit and contnue the process...also I would check to make sure you have enough fluid in the resi.

sounds like air in the system or a faulty master cylinder or this happened to me when I was bleeding my brakes
the valve in the master cylinder wouldnt release when you released the handle and the brakes wouldnt work
it took a while to get the air out of mine and work properly thats because I changes both brake lines when I did my a-arms

If youre getting any braking action at all...the master cylinder is working. Does the handle get frim? does it go all the way to the handlebar?

I would go out and buy the special tool that bleeds the brakes its soo much faster it took a long time to bleed my lines on my ds650 and I changed the lines altogether so keep trying to bleed them ull get it eventually.
