Default Z400 VS KFX700

What kind of Raptor? I can flat hammer piped 660.. in fact its not even close with my KFX. Raptor 700s are a way different though. I can beat a rappy 700 for about 300-350 feet, then they come on by...

my z400 needs a new spark plug... and its effin christmas so no-one is open... any ideas on the best bang for the buck mods?

kfxandahemi have you done anything to your kfx.I dont think my kfx would outrun a raptor.And I've heard a 700 raptor and a 660 raptor run about the same.But this is just what I've heard I have'nt seen them race.Oh yea for you 400 guys,I've got a buddy with a big bore kit in his 400ex and he can outrun my 700kfx.I can hang with him for a little while but he can usually pull ahead of me.

Yeah Ive dont quite a bit of stuff to it... And no a rappy 600 and 700 are like night and day difference... Here is a vid of my KFX (orange one) vs a Rappy 700 (white) my bros KFX (green a couple mods at the time) and a piped rappy 660. I ran a 440 ex up at the dunes and beat it too. This video shows how the 700 raptor pulls on top, but how the KFX pulls on the low end.

Well I can't wait till i get a change to go riding here soon. I anxious to race a raptor and a kfx700. I will say this: When i jeteed and put a pipe It made a difference, but not a huge one. I put a header and a rev box next and made about the same difference. Then I ported the head, put fairly large web intake/exhaust cams, double valve springs, and upped the compression a point.....and all I can say is its nasty. Next is the 440 kit, 400ex intake boot, and a lightweight flywheel. I'll really have to hang on then. I did ride 2 raptors not long ago and according to my buttometer, a stock one does not feel as strong as my bike. But I gotta hook it up with one to see.....

Hey I got an 04 dvx400 with a ct pipe. It will kill a kfx700 with dual hmf's! It will also kill a 426 ex with pipe and a bunch of engine work. Dunes, gravel, dirt, and mud the ltz/dvx kicks ***!

A KFX with a pipe isnt that much... They need clutch work to do much, I gained way more with clutch work then my pipes.

Clutch work???!!! For what? If the clutch is not slipping, where would you gain? I'm confused, thats a new one by me! I have quit a few things done to mine and my clutch does not slip yet and I have increased the power by alot.....

You are confused for sure... You have a manual transmission, the KFX-700 has CVT... There is the difference. You can add weights and change the stall and shiftout rates with aftermarket springs from dalton, EPI, and HPD, and sheeve the clutch to gain more top end. That is how you gain on the "clutch" work.

i have a friend who bought a used z400 that was used to race mx and it has every mod you can think of for it class. i have a kfx 700 and when it was stock it was alot faster then his 400. now i have about the same mods as kfxandhemi and most 450 dont even come close and i have dragged them all. hay kfxandhemi was that rapter 700 all stock in that video.
