I dont see a kfx700 very often, and when I do its usually an older guy and he's not interested in racing. But, My buddy has a highly modded 400ex with motor work, and he beat me bad (8+ lengths) when I just had a pipe and jetted. He also beat a kfx700 and I saw that with my own eyes. So after all the stuff I just did I went back last weekend to try him again....I smoked him by more than 5 lengths and on top end I pulled away...not trying to brag. But cams, porting the head, header, rev box and more compression was like night and day. Next is bigger carb and 460cc kit...
