the front brakes on the z 400 suck, at least mine do .and i found out that others have the same problem . i was wondering if the master cylinder of the Honda 450r will fit and work on the Z 400? any experience out there with this idea?

 

What kind of symptoms does it have? It should effortlessly lock both fronts.
What has changed... or has it always been this way since new?

 

i agree it should lock em up but i and others can only get them to lock up in the sand. the 450r will put you on your nose if your not carfull.

If youve bled them, and they are free of air, and still wont lock up...then it sounds like the caliper sliders are froze.
If you take the caliper off the disk can the calipers move side to side on the mounting bracket? The calipers need to float, so they can center on the disk. Did you just change pads?

Don't have any problem with mine yet. It's an 05.

 

Mine work just fine but it's an 05.

 

never had a problem with mine. still running stock brakes
