Default LT160 Carb cleaner?

I have a 2001 LT160.

Can I put that carb cleaner in my tank like you buy in the automotive section at Wal-mart that you put into your cars fuel tank?

Will it harm my ATV?

Thanks

I dont think you'll find a free manual to download but I could be wrong.
what are you needing to do to the bike, I might be able to help. I have the 03/05 service book for the Z400

Default LT160 Carb cleaner?

I occasionally run that stuff through my ATVs to help keep the carbs clean(er) and it's never hurt them.

Best trick for avoiding crap build-up in the carb is to shut off the fuel while the engine is running and run the carb dry of fuel. Yes, the engine will backfire once or twice and then die, but the process will eliminate any gas residue/deposits that will create problems. Next time you start her up, remember to first turn the fuel back on, and she'll fire right up.

I have used this method for years, many times having my quads sit unused for months at a time, and have never had to have carbs cleaned out.

It also helps to put STABIL fuel additive into the tank to keep the gas from turning to varnish
