My mother in law has a Suzuki Z250 and they left it at my house. The manual is nowhere to be found at the moment and i want to do an oil change for her.
This will be the first oil change since it was bought and only has about 10 total hours on it.
I should probably change the filter as well, but if i can't get one by this weekend, i would at least like to change the oil.

Does anyone have the numbers for a periodical oil change, oil change with filter, and the total amount of oil?

The book says 2.4 Qt I think. With a filter It almost takes that much, without a filter you are looking at approx 2 Qt

 

Can you confirm what your manual says exactly. I like to put in the exact amount.
I might just have to call a dealer to get the numbers or hopefully find the manual.

I traded the 250 so I'm not sure. all it has to be is within the range on the stick. You don't have to put exactly, because some will drain less than others.

 

Dude, just look on the side case. It says the amount in mL = milli-liters. The just convert to SAE or even the oil has the Metric amount on the bottle.

 

Make sure you are not using car oil when you do the oil change. YOu need to use Motocycle or ATV oil. The clutches won't work right on regular oil. If you don't have the filter its not worth doing the change. So go to the dealer and get a filter and oil. while you are there ask them how much.

Yup, i was serious. But like i said in the above post, it is my mother in law's ATV. I do not ride them or this one for that matter. I have never once done an oil change on an ATV. Dirtbikes only. Seems simple now that i know that, but on dirtbikes, there isn't an idiot stamp for the amount of oil. It is way more precise. In dirtbike manuals they say like 1.6L total, 1.4L for oil change with filter change, and 1.5L for periodic oil change. 0.1L or 0.2L might not seem like a lot but it can be 1/15th or 1/7th of the total amount. So i like to be precise.
