Sold my 89 lt-500 yesterday, and I already miss it, but it was for the best. I will say this for the Zilla, it scares you everytime you ride it and you always love it.....maybe if it was easier to start it would be more fun.

I tried the technique of kicking it back, bringing it forward three "clicks" then" kicking, but it just didn't work, unless there was a brand new plug in. The 380 main jet fouled plugs everytime I started it up. Most times I would just pull start it. Once it started up, it ran like a champ.

I wasn't great in the woods, but it was managable, however in the sand and on hills, Wow.

that aint how to start it

ya gotta kick it over about 3 times with it off, then feel for it and get it TDC, let the kicker all the way up and then give it a good kick all the way down

That was partly why I sold it, I bought it because I really wanted it and it was a head turner, because there aren't many around in Ohio. But I like jumping on something and being able to ride. Maybe electric start has spoiled me, but even the Banshee starts right up. The engine work made it even harder to start.

Long live the ZILLA, you cant compare any machine to the raw power that the great quad once knowen as quadzilla made. its unlike any other, the king,
