Suzuki alternators

Default Suzuki alternators

Anyone else have problems with alternator stators and pulser coils burning out on Suzuki Quadrunners?

i got a 86 quad 250,they say they wont run without the battery so mine must be charging,BUTi put in 3new batterys and they run downb in 2 days.it cant beall the batterys.

Default Suzuki alternators

sounds like thge problem that I have. The magneto windings burn out and so they only generate a fraction of what they should be doing and eventually the battery goes flat. It seems to be a problem that is comon to Suzukis. You can easily get another magneto stator in the US. Wish we could here! There's a company called Family Discount Cycles that have contacted me and given a good price for replacement ones. They are at www.familydiscountcycle.com so I suggest that you get a new one from them? They offer free shipping.
