I know for a fact that mine still has the sticker. Its on the left side (as your sitting on it), on a down tube that runs towards the footpeg mount. Its a silver sticker that has a manufacter date. Thats how I found out mine was built in March 1986. It also doubles a warning sticker, so someone may have scratched it off prior to you taking ownership. Hope that helps any. BTW, my motor is gray also.
