im not sure if i have this in the right spot but here it goes i have an 03 suzuki z400 and i recently got a dirt bike and i realized my quad has like no ***** so i want to upgrade but this is a huge decision for me because im only 15 and dont have a job yet so ive narrowed it down to either the suzuki ltr450 or the yamaha banshee and i wanted some opinions i like the feel of a two strokes powerband and how much cheaper parts are for them but i dont like how much they fowl plugs (maybe ive just had bad experiences)but i like how 4 strokes have a smmother powerband with more low end grunt so id like so outside opinions im about 5'7 and 205lbs if that helps anyone with their thoughts

if all you do is ride dunes go with the shee........ if you do tight trails,mx go with a honda 450r or a yfz........ the ltr is too wide for tight trails...... the ltr that i rode had a yoshi pipe k&n intake and the cherry bomb it seemed underpowered compared to my 450r

 

i dont do a whole lot of tight trails we have a couple acres of timber but its not super tight but around my house there are alot of corn and bean feilds and i have a little track of my own but its not real big but i mean im kinda leanin towards the banshee cuz i hav an rm 250 dirtbike and im in love with it but im goin to try and ride both before i buy anything

 

your pretty much hooked on the powerband of a 2 stroke...... i dont blame you ...... you can make a shee very fast ........ you should look at the 450r and yfz too....... to me the r and the yfz are stronger than the ltr

 

9this is rabbit on my bros comp)well i the main brand im lookin at is suzuki notice the z400 and the rm250 not to mention the boat outboards that were suzuki weve had so its just kinda alwayz been my thing to go with suzuki but idk i mean i like 2 strokes and the banshee is pretty fast and its like that lat of a dieing breed in a way so im considering that but im not going to be bullheaded im going to keep my options open
